Shoot Me Maybe

โ€œThey miss every shot. You must make it count.โ€
A multiplayer action-comedy game where dying is winning. Outsmart chaotic Unit 404 bots, sabotage your friends, and aim for the most spectacular death possible.

Gameplay & Concept

Shoot Me Maybe flips the traditional multiplayer shooter formula on its head. Instead of trying to eliminate enemies, your goal is to get yourself killed โ€” by the worst shooters in the galaxy: the hysterical and hopelessly inaccurate Unit 404.

Armed with nothing but mobility tools and clever tricks, players must navigate chaotic arenas, draw the attention of the bots, and position themselves in the perfect spot to finally take a hit. But that's easier said than done: the Unit 404 soldiers panic under pressure, shoot wildly, get distracted by random objects, and generally behave like their blasters are cursed.

The game mixes third-person movement and over-the-shoulder first-person precision, allowing players to switch perspectives at any time. Each player selects a unique character with special movement or control abilities โ€” such as teleports, grappling hooks, or telekinetic pushes โ€” which are used not to fight, but to manipulate positioning, interrupt opponents, and pull off spectacular setups.

Once a player's health drops below 20%, they unlock Anti-Aimbot Mode: for a short time, they take control of a Unit 404 soldier and must try to shoot themselves โ€” but under absurdly sabotaged conditions. Their aim and controls are distorted through randomized "glitches": inverted mouse, drunk camera wobble, delayed inputs, random weapon swapping, or even forced selfies mid-combat. Meanwhile, other players can intervene to block the shot or steal the kill, turning every low-health moment into a slapstick showdown.

Weapons are randomly assigned to the bots โ€” meaning you might face a shaky laser rifle, a jittery rocket launcher, or, if you're unlucky, a trigger-happy martial artist who takes forever to finish you off. Some bots even wield joke weapons like sandwiches or rubber ducks, dealing minimal damage but rewarding stylish deaths with special achievements.

The game offers multiple modes:

Shoot Me Maybe is a "second-person shooter" at heart โ€” a competitive comedy where precision is failure, and success means orchestrating your own ridiculous demise.
